The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) named Rosanna Maietta its new president and CEO, effective Nov. 14.

Maietta succeeds Kevin Carey, who stepped in to serve as interim CEO following the departure of Chip Rogers in March. Carey will resume his duties as the AHLA's senior executive vice president and COO.
The appointment marks a return to the AHLA for Maietta, who previously served as president and CEO of the AHLA Foundation, the group's philanthropic arm, and executive vice president of communications and public relations for the association.

Most recently, Maietta held the position of chief communications officer and senior counselor to the CEO at the American Clean Power Association, spearheading public affairs campaigns for the clean energy industry.
The AHLA represents over 30,000 members across all segments of the U.S. hospitality sector.
