In a bid to enhance the travel experience for blind and low-vision guests, Hilton has joined forces with Be My Eyes, a tech platform offering AI-powered visual support and live video assistance from sighted volunteers.
Under the partnership, Be My Eyes users in the U.S. and Canada can access AI virtual assistance and receive personalized support from dedicated Hilton Reservations and Customer Care teams. These teams are available to help users with in-room needs, including adjusting thermostats, operating coffee machines and identifying window coverings, as well as navigating hotel amenities like bars, restaurants, gyms and spas.

Guests can access these services through the free Be My Eyes app by navigating to the platform's "Service Directory," selecting the "Hotels" category and choosing the participating Hilton brand.
Participating brands include the Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton flags, among others.
The collaboration builds upon Hilton's previous efforts with Be My Eyes, which began in 2023 with the training of the app's AI model to better recognize objects and navigate furniture in Hilton hotel rooms. Subsequently, Hilton expanded its involvement by developing a specialized team of customer care agents trained to support Be My Eyes users during their stays.
"Our mission at Be My Eyes is to break down accessibility barriers in everyday life, and this partnership with Hilton is a significant step along that path, helping travel and hospitality to be much more inclusive," said Be My Eyes CEO Mike Buckley in a statement.
Launched in 2015, Be My Eyes has more than 700,000 users globally.
