The mercury isn't getting a break in Las Vegas, as daytime-high temperatures continue to hover in the 90s in early October, but the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio has unveiled a delightful faux fall display that alludes to cooler days ahead.
"The Garden of Time," with colorful autumnal flora and fauna, forest creatures and other elements designed to appeal to all the senses, is open through Nov. 9. Music enhances the festive vision, and the smell of spiced apple cider wafts throughout the indoor space.
"This display celebrates the changing of seasons with a breathtaking landscape that intertwines vibrant autumn hues with intricate, time-inspired designs," designer Ed Libby said. "We welcome guests to experience this artistic celebration of the beauty of nature in the fall and the inevitable passage of time."
A fall spectacular
The West Bed represents the heart of the forest, with twin waterfalls gently cascading into a pond. A wooden bridge leads to a rustic cottage, location of the Garden Table dining experience. A stag sculpted from driftwood guards the area, lined with botanicals and white pumpkins.

Large lanterns light the East Bed's turquoise-stone pathway to the forest. A clock, which designers said is "a reminder of the timeless luxury and elegance that endure through the changing seasons" is suspended from an 18-foot-tall arbor. A four-foot-tall woodland owl is perched above the archway.
Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is free and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
