Viva Cruises said it has created a premium sub-brand called Viva Boutique, which will begin sailing on the Seine River in May 2026.
The new line will launch with an existing ship from shipbuilder Scylla that will be refurbished and upgraded prior to entering service.
The ship, to be named Viva Beyond, will have capacity for 112 passengers and will offer three levels of suite accommodations. There will be 12 suites, four junior suites and 10 master suites -- a new class of cabin for Viva.
"The new ship combines the best of both worlds: the comfort of a boutique hotel with the diversity of a river cruise," said Viva Cruises CEO Andrea Kruse.
The Viva Beyond will have three restaurants, including Moments, where guests will be "spoilt with culinary highlights at the highest level," the company said.
Travelers staying in a master suite will enjoy additional benefits, including the choice to have breakfast in their cabins, seasonal delicacies and a an aperitif with the captain and hotel manager -- accompanied by champagne and canapés. They will also receive a select table in the restaurants and an exclusive shore excursion included in the tour price.
Viva will
offer seven-night cruises with three themes: Impressionism, culture and lifestyle, and culinary. Guests can choose a departure with the theme that most
appeals to them. The Impressionism-themed cruise, for example, will feature a
stop in Auvers-sur-Oise, a village where Impressionist painters gathered, along
with visits to the Musée d’Orsay in Paris and to the Gardens of Étretat in
Normandy.
