Travel Leaders Group has acquired the Andrew Harper Travel
Office and the Andrew Harper Alliance, an agency and luxury hotel program,
respectively.
The editorial division of Andrew Harper -- which publishers
the "Hideaway Report," "The Andrew Harper Collection" and
AndrewHarper.com -- was not included in the acquisition. Travel Leaders Group
did not release further details of the transaction.
According to Travel Leaders Group, both of its new
acquisitions were launched in 1994. The Austin, Texas-based agency serves
Andrew Harper's "ultra-wealthy subscribers," Travel Leaders said. The
Andrew Harper Alliance includes 600 luxury properties around the world. The
Alliance was previously only available to Andrew Harper subscribers.
Andrew Harper Travel CEO John Cullen said the agency's
clients will continue working with their agents, "yet now through Travel
Leaders Group's ownership they will benefit from privileged access to an array
of travel offerings that a larger platform can deliver."
Operations will remain the same at the Andrew Harper Travel
Office and the Alliance, according to Travel Leaders Group, which is also
entering a commercial agreement with the editorial division of the company to "support
certain ongoing service functions and market its memberships."
"Through the addition of both the travel office and
alliance from Andrew Harper, we are significantly strengthening and solidifying
Travel Leaders Group's position as North America's preeminent seller of luxury
travel," Travel Leaders Group CEO Ninan Chacko said in a statement. "The
Andrew Harper Alliance hotel platform is unmatched in its worldwide luxury
properties, offering the most desirable travel experiences available to their
discerning clientele. This further propels Travel Leaders Group beyond its
already enviable place at the forefront of luxury travel."
