Pop superstar Janet Jackson is planning a mini-residency at Resorts World Las Vegas this winter.
The five-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will kick off the performances Dec. 30 and 31. Other shows are set for Jan. 3 and 4 and Feb. 5, 7, 8, 12, 14 and 15.
"Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music," said Bobby Reynolds, senior vice president at AEG Presents Las Vegas, which is presenting the show. "We could not be more thrilled to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her venue debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre and to kick off 2025 with a run of sure-to-be-unforgettable shows."
Resorts World Theatre, with a capacity of 5,000, boasts that its farthest seat is only 150 feet from the stage. International firm Sceno Plus designed the theater, which Billboard named the world's highest-grossing venue for its capacity in 2023, the second consecutive year it's earned that distinction.
Janet Jackson has had sales of more than 180 million records worldwide She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside her brothers in 2019, the same year her smash 18-date Las Vegas residency, "Metamorphosis," closed at Park MGM's Park Theater.
"Together Again" in 2023, with 36 sold-out shows, became the highest-selling tour of her career.
She recently completed a 35-city extension of the tour, and she is launching the European leg this month.
