Norwegian Cruise Line's second Prima Plus ship will be named the Norwegian Luna and will sail from Miami from April through November of 2026.

Like its twin, Norwegian Aqua (coming March 28, 2025), the ship will be roughly 10% larger than the original Prima class ships, as NCL progressively increases the size of its ships. The Luna is expected to carry 3,550 guests at double occupancy, up from 3,195 for the Norwegian Viva, the most recent Prima-class ship.

The Luna will stretch 1,056 feet with a volume of 156,300 gross tons, mirroring the Aqua, which will sail from Florida's Port Canaveral after a transatlantic maiden cruise. Fincantieri is building both ships, with interior designs by AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, SMC Design and Studio Dado.

The Luna will sail a mix of Caribbean itineraries. Two will focus on the Western Caribbean, calling at Roatan Island, Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and the line's private island, Harvest Caye, Belize. The ship will also sail seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries that include Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, the line's private island in the Bahamas that will undergo an expansion

The Luna's hull will art is inspired by the reflection of moonlight and was designed by Elle, a street artist from Napa, California. Elle has worked with brands like Nike, Reebok and Ralph Lauren.

The Luna will feature the Slidecoaster, a hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide that will debut on the Aqua. NCL said the attraction would entail three stories of twists around the ship's funnel and a magnetic lift to propel riders.

The ship will also feature a digital sports complex offering interactive activities by day. It will morph into a nightclub in the evening.

Like the Aqua, the Luna will have a new three-bedroom duplex in The Haven, the area with NCL's most luxurious and spacious accommodations. These suites span two stories and include separate living and dining areas, three bathrooms, a balcony and three bedrooms.

The Luna will have the same new bars and restaurants planned for the Aqua, including a Thai restaurant called Sukhothai and 10 food stations at the Indulge Food Hall, including the plant-based Planterie.
