Walt Disney World Resort has unveiled plans to develop more than 350 cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The new accommodations will be part of the Disney Vacation Club portfolio.

The cabins will replace the property's existing cabin structures and are projected to open in 2024 as The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort -- A Disney Vacation Club Resort.

According to Disney, each of the standalone cabins will offer a bedroom, bathroom, living room, full kitchen and patio as well as energy-efficient features. Dogs will be permitted at some cabins.

The cabin upgrade is one of several improvement projects currently underway at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Other updates include the addition of a pool and walking trail, plus expanded dining experiences at the Trail's End Restaurant and Crockett's Tavern.

The Cabins will be the 17th property in the Disney Vacation Club portfolio.

Like all Disney Vacation Club properties, The Cabins will be open for reservations to guests who aren't Disney Vacation Club members.
