Delta will debut a new-look aircraft interior this fall.
The interior -- featuring new color palettes, seat covers and light accents -- will first take flight on a Delta Boeing 757 narrowbody. Early next year, Delta will introduce the new look on an Airbus A350 widebody.
The airline said it is committed to updating its entire fleet with the new design.

"Additional aircraft will receive the new cabin design as Delta's schedule and operation allows over the next few years," the carrier said.
Delta is describing the new interior colors as softer, warmer and more modern than current Delta schemes. Images show new seat covers that have a dark bluish-purple scheme, compared to the lighter blue seat covers the airline currently has.
Widebody seats will be fitted aircraft-wide with memory foam cushions. Memory foam will also be installed in first-class cabins on narrowbody aircraft.

Delta One business class cabins will get seat covers made of a breathable wool and nylon blend. Covers on other Delta seats will be made of leather.
Delta said the aircraft will also have enhanced lighting capabilities.
Lighting at boarding will be deployed to make the cabin feel spacious. During meals, hues will be cued to have a candlelight feel. And as the lights are dimmed for sleep, the airline will slowly remove blue light while bringing in warm, amber tones that are reminiscent of a sunset, the carrier said.
Appearance changes will be also made in aircraft lavatories, on bulkheads and to ceiling patterns.
Correction: Only Delta's widebody planes will have memory foam cushions on the seats in coach.
