Location and History

Designed by the one-and-only Bill Bensley, this anticipated luxury opening has created a splash in the city's Huan Kiem district and the French Quarter. Close to tourist attractions and business offices, it does double duty with the guest list, on which there is a growing number of Americans.

Running through the hotel is an ode to the opera—the city's Grand Opera is close by—and an art-deco, grande dame style of design. In fact, this was a small hotel before the war that catered to those who came to town to see performances at the opera.
